HR software in Maharashtra for small companies

Offrd is HR software for small companies across Maharashtra. It generates offer and appointment letters, runs payroll with EPF, ESI and Maharashtra professional tax computed by slab, tracks attendance by QR code or GPS, and produces exit settlements. Rs 99 per document or Rs 50 per employee per month, with 50 free credits on signup. Below, pages for 20 cities and the state's statutory basics.

Maharashtra employs more formally registered workers than most Indian states, and its statutory stack, professional tax included, catches employers who copy payslip formats from elsewhere. Each city page below is written for how that city actually employs, factories in one, institutes in another, seasonal sheds in a third.

Women earning up to Rs 25,000 a month are exempt, a change effective April 2023 that many payroll spreadsheets still miss. Alongside PT, payslips carry EPF at 12% employer and 12% employee up to the Rs 15,000 wage ceiling, and ESI at 3.25% and 0.75% where gross pay is within Rs 21,000.

What does Offrd do in every one of these cities?

The same five jobs. Offer and appointment letters generated in minutes, the appointment letter being mandatory under the Labour Codes. Onboarding where the joiner's Aadhaar, PAN and bank details verify from a phone. Payslips with the statutory lines computed per person. Attendance by QR code or GPS through the free Atndnz app. Exit letters with a full and final settlement. Policies, POSH included, come from a guided builder.

What it deliberately leaves out, return filing, performance reviews, expense claims, is listed on the Offrd India overview. More than 4,000 Indian companies use the platform across 350+ cities. Pricing, both the Rs 99 pay per use route and the Rs 50 per employee subscription, is on the pricing page, and the wider library of guides sits at HR tools and guides for India.

Questions Maharashtra employers ask

Does professional tax differ between Maharashtra cities?

No. The slab is set by the state, so Mumbai and Parbhani deduct the same amounts. What differs by city is salary levels, which decide who crosses each threshold.

My company is registered in one city with staff in three. Which page applies?

The state rules are identical everywhere, so any page's statutory content applies. One Offrd account covers all locations, with attendance from each feeding one payroll.

Is the February Rs 300 deduction really separate from the usual Rs 200?

It is the same tax at a higher February rate, bringing the year to Rs 2,500 for those above Rs 10,000. Offrd applies it automatically in the February run.

Do these pages cover Thane, Navi Mumbai or Pimpri-Chinchwad?

The Mumbai page covers the Mumbai region including Thane and Navi Mumbai, and the Pune page covers Pimpri-Chinchwad. Employers there use Offrd identically.

Where do I start if my city has no page?

The state rules above apply to you regardless. Sign up free with 50 credits, or read the India overview linked above for the full product.
