HR and payroll software for factories in Faridabad
Offrd is HR and payroll software for Faridabad manufacturing units of roughly 10 to 100 people. It generates appointment letters for every worker, payslips with EPF and ESI calculated on actual wages, attendance from QR, GPS or your existing biometric machine, and a proper full and final when someone leaves. Rs 99 per document, or Rs 50 per employee per month.
Fasteners, auto parts, sheet metal, panels, machine shops. Faridabad's industry is older than the NCR name, and so are many of its wage registers. Below is a plain checklist: the records an inspector can ask for, and how each one comes out of Offrd instead of out of a cupboard.
Who does a Faridabad employer register with, and where does the money go?
Two layers apply to an employer in Faridabad. The local layer comes from Haryana and from Faridabad district. The central layer is the same everywhere in India.
Please check this before you act on it. Offices move, jurisdictions get redrawn and rates are revised, often quietly. Ring the department to confirm the address, and get your CA or labour adviser to sign off the compliance position. General information only, not legal or tax advice. Offrd is not affiliated with these offices. Last checked 12 September 2026. Corrections to service@offrd.co, please.
What does Faridabad's employer base actually look like?
Faridabad's registered base is genuinely large, over thirteen thousand units, with an auto components cluster at Sector 58 that alone accounts for tens of thousands of jobs once indirect employment is counted.
Direct employment of 20,000 and indirect employment of 90,000, with Rs 5,000 lakh in exports, the district's largest cluster by far.
18,756 total industrial units, with small scale turnover reaching Rs 26,360 crore and medium and large scale adding Rs 18,295 crore.
Direct employment of 4,000 and indirect employment of 1,000, a smaller cluster distinct from the auto components trade.
Spread across eleven named sectors rather than one dominant zone.

HSIIDCConfirm this before you rely on it. Figures come from the district's 2016-17 profile, current as of March 2016, no newer official recount was found for the auto components cluster and no named large employers were listed in the source document itself. Office addresses and contact details can change on a notification you will not see. Verify the office and its current jurisdiction before you act on it, and take advice from your chartered accountant or labour law adviser. None of this is legal or tax advice. Do small employers in Faridabad have to run provident fund?
Only once twenty employees are on the rolls, unless the establishment opts in voluntarily. Plenty of companies register earlier because candidates ask for it and because it is easier to start clean than to backfill contributions later.
The part that catches people out is the universal account number. An employee who has worked before already has one, and it has to be linked rather than a second one created. Two active numbers for the same person is one of the more tedious things to unwind with the fund office.
When does a company have to register for provident fund?
The Employees Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 applies once an establishment employs twenty or more people. Registration with the Employees Provident Fund Organisation follows, and the monthly electronic challan cum return is filed with contributions due by the fifteenth of the following month. Once covered, an establishment stays covered even if headcount later falls.
The rates are fixed. The employee pays 12 percent of basic pay and dearness allowance. The employer pays the same 12 percent, split as 8.33 percent to the pension scheme on wages up to the 15,000 rupee ceiling and 3.67 percent to the provident fund, with a further 0.50 percent for the deposit linked insurance scheme.
Frequently asked questions
Which district handles filings for Faridabad?
In Faridabad. Filings for a Faridabad employer go to offices appointed for that district rather than for the town.
Who collects professional tax from a Faridabad employer?
Not levied in Haryana
What is the wage ceiling for provident fund?
Mandatory coverage runs up to 15,000 rupees of basic pay and dearness allowance a month. Above that, contribution can continue by agreement, but the pension scheme share stays calculated on the 15,000 rupee ceiling.
Which HR records can an inspector ask a factory for?
Since the labour codes came into force on 21 November 2025, a written appointment letter for every employee is law, not courtesy. Add the records that were always expected and the list looks like this.
-
Appointment letters for every worker
Offrd makes them from the employee record, with designation, wages and terms filled in. The helper who joined last Tuesday gets the same proper letter as the plant supervisor. Old staff without letters can get theirs in one sitting.
-
Payslips that match the wage register
Each payslip calculates EPF at 12% and 12% up to the Rs 15,000 wage ceiling, and ESI at 3.25% and 0.75% for workers within Rs 21,000 gross. The maths sits in the software, so the register and the payslip cannot tell two different stories.
-
An attendance muster that holds up
QR check in at the gate. Biometric sync if a machine is already on the wall. GPS for the dispatch team. The muster comes out of Atndnz as a record, not as a supervisor's memory.
-
Joining files with verified identity
Aadhaar, PAN and bank details collected on the worker's phone at joining, checked by an AI review. The file is complete on day one, not assembled in a panic before an audit.
-
Exit papers with the working shown
The full and final settlement calculates dues from the same salary heads as the payslip. Gratuity applies where earned, wages into 15 into years, divided by 26. The settlement letter carries a reference ID.
-
A POSH policy in the file
The guided policy builder produces it from a questionnaire, along with conduct and leave policies. No consultant retainer needed.
Filing stays with your CA or consultant. The ECR to EPFO, the ESIC return, the LWF deposit, all his. Offrd gives him EPF ready payroll files with clean numbers.
Why does the cupboard system fail during an inspection?
Most units are not careless. They are busy. The wage register is honest but handwritten. Appointment letters exist for people hired after 2021, not before. The loading crew's attendance lives in a diary. None of that is cheating. All of it is impossible to produce quickly on the day a notice arrives, and rebuilding old records is the costliest clerical work there is.
Put the records in software and the paper starts agreeing with itself. Payslip, muster and settlement letter all draw from one employee record. Nothing to reconcile, nothing to explain.
More than 4,000 Indian companies keep their employment records on Offrd. The wider product is on the HR software for Indian SMEs page, and Haryana's rules, including no professional tax and the Rs 35 and Rs 70 Labour Welfare Fund amounts that apply from January 2026, are on the Haryana hub.
What does it cost a 50 worker unit?
On subscription, Rs 50 per active employee per month. That is Rs 2,500 for a 50 person unit, attendance app included. On pay per use, Rs 99 per document and no monthly amount at all, which suits units that mainly need letters and already have a CA running payroll. The 50 free signup credits cover a first batch of appointment letters, so you can see the output before paying anything. Setup is a two minute company form, then a CSV of your employee list.
Questions Faridabad units ask
We already have a biometric machine at the gate. Is it wasted?
No. Atndnz syncs with biometric devices, so the machine keeps taking punches and the software turns them into a muster that feeds payroll without retyping.
Many of our workers earn above Rs 21,000. Does ESI still apply to them?
ESI covers employees with gross wages up to Rs 21,000, and up to Rs 25,000 for employees with disabilities. Offrd applies the ceiling person by person, so only eligible workers carry the deduction.
Who files our ECR and ESIC returns?
Your accountant or consultant, exactly as today. Offrd computes the payroll and hands over EPF ready files so the filing is done from correct numbers. It does not submit returns to EPFO or ESIC.
Can we issue appointment letters to workers hired years ago?
Yes. Generate them from each employee's record with the current designation and wages. Many units clear the whole backlog in one sitting, and the 50 free signup credits absorb a good part of it.
We use contract labour through a thekedar. Can Offrd cover them?
Offrd manages the people on your own rolls. Workers employed by a contractor sit on the contractor's payroll, though nothing stops the contractor running their own Offrd account for them.
