What HR software costs a Balasore business: Rs 99, worked out

Offrd prices HR software two ways for Balasore SMEs: Rs 99 per document with no monthly commitment, or Rs 50 per active employee per month as a subscription. Both include compliant letters, payslips with EPF, ESI and Odisha PT computed, and exits. The Atndnz attendance app is free for paying users, and new accounts start with 50 free credits.

Balasore's employers sit along a coastal industrial corridor, units in the industrial estates, processors, fabricators, transporters and the trading firms that serve them. Businesses here judge tools on price before anything else, which is fair. So this page leads with the price and works outward: what it includes, what it excludes, and what it comes to for three realistic firm sizes.

What the price excludes, on purpose

Clarity about the edges keeps the price honest. Offrd does not do performance reviews, OKRs or engagement surveys. It does not run expense claims, a helpdesk or an asset register. It does not host career pages or schedule interviews, and its recruitment coverage stops at the pre hire screening stage. It computes statutory deductions but does not deposit PT with the Odisha treasury or file EPF, ESI or TDS returns, which stay with your accountant, per the obligations the Odisha Commercial Tax department and the EPFO place on employers.

If a vendor quotes you a lower headline for a bigger suite, check the floor. Most carry monthly minimums or per module add ons that a 25 person unit ends up funding without using. The absence of those lines is the discount here.

One exclusion deserves its own sentence because units here ask about it: Offrd does not disburse salaries into bank accounts. It computes the payroll and gives you the figures; the transfer runs through your own bank as it does today. Firms whose single biggest pain is automated payment and statutory filing are better served by a payroll first product, and it is cheaper to know that on this page than after a purchase.

Three Balasore firms, three bills

  1. A 12 person trading firm that hires twice a year

Two hires might mean six documents, plus a policy set and the odd letter, say 15 documents a year. On pay per use that is about Rs 1,485 a year. The 50 free signup credits would in fact cover the first year outright. A subscription makes no sense at this size, and the platform will not push you toward one.

  2. A 35 person processing unit with monthly payroll

Here the subscription earns its place: 35 employees at Rs 50 is Rs 1,750 a month, or Rs 21,000 a year, with payslips, attendance through Atndnz, letters and exits all inside. Compare that against the going rate for even one day a month of a payroll consultant's time in a district town, and against the cost of one EPF error.

  3. A 70 person fabricator across two sites

Rs 3,500 a month on subscription. Two sites mean two QR codes and a geofence each, one attendance ledger, one payroll run. The alternative at this size is usually a full HRMS at several times the price, or a payroll clerk. Offrd sits in between, covering the paperwork while the owner keeps the headcount lean.

All figures are list prices as of August 2026. The pricing page is the live source.

Why cheap does not mean thin here

The price stays low because the scope stays fixed, not because corners are cut on the compliance floor. Written appointment letters for every worker, mandatory under the labour codes since 21 November 2025 per the Ministry of Labour and Employment, generate in minutes. The payslip engine carries the current EPF and ESI rates and the Odisha slabs so your unit's wage records stand up to a bank's or principal employer's scrutiny. The settlement module closes exits with arithmetic an auditor can retrace.

4,000+ companies across 350+ Indian cities pay these prices and nothing more, and Offrd has generated over Rs 7 billion in offer letter value.

State slabs and the other city pages live on the Odisha hub.

The price of doing nothing, for comparison

Every pricing page should be honest about the third option, which is changing nothing. It has no invoice, so it looks free. Its costs arrive in other clothes. An EPF deduction taken on the wrong wage base for a year becomes arrears plus interest when noticed. A worker without an appointment letter is a finding the moment a labour officer samples your files, and written letters have been mandatory since the labour codes took effect in November 2025. A disputed exit with no settlement arithmetic can consume more owner hours than a year of subscription costs, and sometimes a lawyer.

Then there is the slow tax nobody itemises: the hour per drafted letter, the accountant's day rebuilding the wage sheet, the evenings reconciling a register against pay. A 35 person unit leaks a working week a month this way without anyone deciding to spend it. Against that ledger, Rs 1,750 a month is not a new cost. It is a smaller number replacing a larger, hidden one.

Before you buy anything, ours included, ask any vendor three questions. What is the monthly floor if my headcount drops? Which features on the demo are separate line items? And what happens to my documents if I stop paying? Offrd's answers: no floor on pay per use, none, and every document already generated is a PDF in your hands.

A fourth question suits the coastal corridor specifically: does the price hold when the workforce swells for a project and shrinks after? Units here staff up against orders and trim in slack months. A per active employee rate follows that curve in both directions, where a seat contract keeps billing for the workforce you no longer have.

Pricing questions, answered straight

Are there hidden charges beyond Rs 99 or Rs 50?

No. No setup fee, no implementation charge, no per module add ons, and Atndnz is included free for paying users. On pay per use, an onboarding costs 15 credits, and the credit prices are listed openly.

Can we switch between the two plans?

Yes. Firms often start on pay per document, see their monthly volume, and move to the per employee subscription when it becomes the cheaper line. The direction reverses just as easily.

Is there a minimum headcount or a minimum bill?

No. A five person firm paying per document has no monthly bill at all in a month it generates nothing. That is the difference from suites with seat floors.

What does the demo cost?

Nothing. Book a slot and someone walks you through the product on your own use case. The 50 free credits then let you test with real documents before any payment.

On the subscription, who counts as an active employee?

People on your rolls that month. Someone who exits mid month stops counting from the next cycle, so the bill tracks your true headcount rather than a contracted seat number.

If GST or our registrations change, does anything break?

No. Company particulars are editable in the account, and documents generated after a change carry the updated details. Old documents remain as issued, which is what an audit trail should do.

Do prices differ for Balasore versus metro companies?

No. Rs 99 a document and Rs 50 per employee are flat across India. A district town firm pays exactly what a Bengaluru startup pays.

Run the numbers on your own firm

Count your yearly documents, multiply by Rs 99, and compare it with what the paperwork costs you today in hours and consultant fees. Then test the difference free.
